Atlantic Center for the Arts
The idea of a place where artists could go to focus on their art, collaborate with artists from other disciplines, and work with internationally renowned masters in a tranquil, natural environment blossomed in 1977 in the mind of painter, sculptor and environmentalist Doris Leeper.

Today Atlantic Center for the Arts is situated on 69 acres of tidal estuary in the midst of 2,200 acres of an ecological preserve. It is a creative oasis that combines privacy, modern studios, and living space in an atmosphere of harmonious coexistence between artists and nature. Atlantic Center's programming also focuses on community, in the belief that creativity is inherent in us all.

Through year-round classes, exhibitions, presentations, tours, and outreaches, ACA works in partnership with artists and educators to enrich, educate, and entertain an estimated 50,000 people annually. In 2007, Atlantic Center's stunning Mark and Margery Pabst Visitor Center & Gallery opened with one main focus - the public. The Pabst Visitor Center & Gallery features three interconnecting galleries with a year-round schedule of exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and tours, and serves as an exciting destination spot for residents and visitors alike.
