Novices can learn the basics in courses lasting four to 10 lessons. Visitors start with an introduction to powerkite flying to get used to the kite's power and the technique of handling it. At the end of the first course unit, students should be able to control the kite and cope with its tremendous pull in every situation. By the end of the lessons, participants are out in the water and in full control of all the equipment.
