In 2001, the Opium Group took over a 30,000-square-foot building in South Beach, with the intention of making it Miami's hottest new nightclub.
Inspired by Far East philosophies, the nightclub was designed with golden Buddha statues, Chinese lanterns and towering palm trees. When the bar opened, club-goers began arriving en masse, with a record breaking volume of 2,500 patrons per night. Celebrities arrived soon thereafter.
Featuring two bars, Privé was created with A-list guests and Miami tastemakers in mind. With a separate entrance on Collins Avenue, Privé is located in Miami Beach's famous "South of Fifth"
