The First Coast  

The Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts is a comprehensive performing and visual arts facility at Florida State College at Jacksonville's South Campus. The Center serves as a facility for students and a quality arts venue for the entire community. Housed in glass, a two story lobby leads patrons to the art gallery, a main proscenium theatre with 500 seats, the studio theatre designed for productions with smaller audiences and the Conference Center which is available for business meetings, conferences, fundraisers and social gatherings. The Center's programming includes a variety of offerings such as opera, dance, multidisciplinary productions that integrate visual art, music, theatre and the humanities.

Florida Theatre, Jacksonville’s historic performance center, is home to 200 performances of all kinds each year - from ballet and opera to rock, pop and jazz. As an anchor to downtown development along the beautiful St. Johns River, The Florida Theatre draws 250,000 people to Jacksonville’s center each year. The magnificently restored theater is recognized as one of the finest concert venues in the Southeast, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Having opened in 1927, the Florida Theatre holds special memories for four generations - from the Vaudeville acts and silent films of its earliest days to today’s blend of performances of all kinds.

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre was built in 1965, commemorating St. Augustine's 400th anniversary, and has recently undergone an $8.7 million renovation, adding a canopy over the main stage and seating areas (so there's no need to worry about rain). Enjoy the beauty of St. Augustine and the warm summer nights while listening to incredible performances by nationally-recognized artists.

The Space Coast 

The Daytona Beach Bandshell is one of the best places to be in Daytona Beach during their “Summer Concert Series”  - but winter offers its own rewards. Join thousands of locals and visitors alike that frequent this historic coquina amphitheater to enjoy the sights and sounds of summer. It's easy to get there: park in the Ocean Center garage, take the crosswalk to the Bandshell in Oceanfront Park, rent a chair, purchase a drink, and enjoy the show. This seasonal concert series is held May through September every Friday and Saturday night beginning at 7:00 p.m. There is a minimal charge for the Friday night concerts, and the Saturday night concerts are FREE and include a free fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.!

The Peabody has led the way as a venue where stars of the world of entertainment and the arts have attracted audiences numbered in the tens of thousands. Named in honor of benefactor Simon J. Peabody, who donated the land where the auditorium was built, the new Peabody was dedicated October 6, 1949 with a concert featuring the United States Navy Band. Since then, this venue has hosted such great performers as Liberace, Red Skelton, Liza Minelli, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Simon & Garfunkel, Willie Nelson, and more. Acclaimed Broadway productions have stopped here, and the London Symphony Orchestra is one of The Peabody’s proud partners. Today, the 2,521 seat auditorium attracts more than 100,000 residents and visitors annually.

The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach has been offering Broadway style shows since 1947. Renovated in 2004, the theater now has a state of the art facility. Though it has “Little” in its name, it is a big part of the New Smyrna Beach community. Productions range from original productions to classics like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

The Treasure Coast   

Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach offers a thrilling night out for all ages. As the largest producing accredited professional theater in the state, Riverside Theatre offers its audience over 255 performances each year, and offers a variety of shows from musicals to dramas, comedy acts, and more. They are also proud to offer children’s theatre that specially caters to young thespians like “Annie,” “Shrek the Musical Jr.,” and “Frozen Jr.”

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach has provided Southeastern Florida with over 25 seasons in four venues: the 2,195-seat Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. Concert Hall, the flexible 289-seat Rinker Playhouse, the 170-seat Helen K. Persson Hall and the outdoor Michael and Andrew Gosman Amphitheatre with a capacity for 1,400 patrons. Performances range from orchestral ensembles, to Shakespearean classics, to Broadway hits.

The Crest Theatre in Delray Beach is small but mighty, with 323 seats in the restored 1925 Delray High School building at Old School Square Cultural Arts Center. The new Ovation Series presents a variety of dance, music, off Broadway and comedy performances, while the Cabaret Series features New York’s hottest stars. The Crest Theatre is also a long time host of MusicWorks Concerts, a Classic Rock and Folk Music Series featuring your favorite artists from the 60s and 70s.

Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter is a not-for-profit theater, has become one of Florida’s preeminent professional theaters, committed to production and education through its collaborations with local and national artists. Currently the state’s largest award-winning regional theater, it draws 100,000 people annually, serves a subscription base of more than 8,230 and has world-class classroom facilities in support of its Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts, which serves hundreds of youth and adults. The Lyric Theater in Miami anchors the Historic Overtown Folklife Village. Prominent black entrepreneur Geder Walker built this masonry vaudeville and movie theater in 1913. Once one of the major centers of entertainment for blacks, this building is the lone survivor of the "Little Broadway" district that flourished in Overtown for almost 50 years. It is the oldest legitimate theater remaining in Miami. Now restored, the 390-seat theater features exhibits, festivals, jazz, theater, dance and multicultural performances.
