Hummingbird Gardens

Founded in 2005, Hummingbird Gardens has expanded over the years to include exotic plants and trees, as well as a variety of friendly animals like a family of peacocks, chickens, and horses!  

The gardens provide a stunning backdrop thanks to their vibrant blooms, elegant statues, stone walkways, and sophisticated arbor, which overlooks the lawn and makes the perfect frame for you and your loved one as you say your vows. The staff of Hummingbird Gardens are eager to customize the garden setting to suit your ceremony, as well as your reception, with both indoor and outdoor options available. The fresh flowers provided by the Gardens will certainly add an extra level of tastefulness to your decor - imagine your wedding colors coming to life in tropical blooms!  

Sunken Gardens

One of St. Petersburg’s most iconic natural attractions, Sunken Gardens, can be your for your special day! The gardens have been hosting weddings since 1935, and you can be assured that they have earned their reputation as a venue favorite. Whether you have a small or large wedding, their variety of venue options within the gardens, as well as a top-notch and dedicated staff, means you can create your perfect day.  

Picture your guests’ awe as you come across the bridge into the historic Wedding Lawn, or stand beneath the dappled canopy of trees at the Oak Pavilion. Consider exchanging vows in the historic main building, built in the 1920s with beautiful loft-style architecture and a Garden Room that overlooks the gardens. While many garden wedding venues are only available during daylight hours, Sunken Gardens offers special evening ceremony packages; visualize the elegant blooms illuminated by the soft lighting of the candles and lights inside your decorated tent.  


The Pavilion at Mixon Farms

This hidden gem of a venue combines vintage charm and Southern elegance, with backdrops of orange groves and tropical gardens. The focal point is the grand pavilion with a wooden spindled gazebo, surrounded by a Koi pond, with an open style that makes the most of the naturally beautiful surroundings. The lush garden blooms surround a rock waterfall. One of the perks of the pavilion’s architecture is the unlimited options for personalized decor, letting you create your ideal setting.  

In addition to the pavilion, Mixon Farms has added several new venue spaces; most recently, the Mixon Farmhouse Inn, where sophistication meets rustic charm. The inn is located at a private gated entrance on the Mixon Farms property, about 500 feet from the grand pavilion, in the midst of the orange grove. This four bedroom, three bath custom home sleeps 13 guests, making it an ideal accommodation for you and your wedding party or family. Enjoy thoughtful touches like exposed Chicago brick, shiplap from 1908, and an expansive bridal suite. The backyard is fantastic for rehearsal dinners or intimate receptions, with bulb lighting strung across the lawn.   


Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

One of Sarasota’s most iconic attractions is the beautiful Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, located directly on Sarasota Bay and offering some of the most elegant and breathtaking garden settings imaginable. Selby expertly blends lush botanical blooms with historical charm, making it an incredibly desirable setting for your special day. Beautifully landscaped with native foliage including live oaks, banyans, and palms, and featuring foliage-framed glimpses of the bay in the background, this is especially ideal for the couple who want lots of photographs.  

The garden is divided into two rental sides which include ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas. The north side of the garden features the Christy Payne Mansion and Mansion Lawn, Michael’s on the Bay indoor venue, and the Bay Lawn with waterfront views. The South side of the garden features the Schimmel Wedding Lawn and Pavilion, Children’s Rain Forest, and Banyan Reception Area. One of the many perks of choosing Selby is the opportunity to hold your reception at Michael’s on the Bay, Sarasota’s premiere indoor event facility which was remodeled in the summer of 2016 and features 80 feet of glass windows that provide unobstructed bay and sunset views.  

Edison and Ford Winter Estates

The breathtaking palatial Edison and Ford Winter Estates feature stately historic homes and immaculate landscaping that is punctuated by fragrant tropical booms and feature classically romantic gardens - what more could you want for your wedding venue? Once the homes of the inventor Thomas Edison and the auto magnate Henry Ford, the Estates are now one of Fort Myers’ most treasured museum sites and offer distinctive venues for ceremonies and receptions. 

Take your pick of some of the most unforgettable natural venue settings for your ceremony. The Coconut Grove is the beautiful lawn situated between the Lily Pond and the Caloosahatchee River, with dozens of coconut trees scattered throughout; this spot is perfect for sunset ceremonies. Ford's Riverside Lawn offers river views as well, as does the background of the Mysore Fig Tree: a towering tree with sprawling roots and incredible breadth, the ultimate symbol of family and strength. The Moonlight Garden provides an intimate, romantic setting filled with fragrant flowers and tall bougainvillea-entwined trellises. When it comes to the cocktail hour or reception, the Estates offer additional locations that include some of the historic buildings.  



The Secret Garden

If you seek an intimate garden ceremony, then The Secret Garden is the venue of your dreams. Though it is located only 20 minutes from downtown Orlando, this venue offers peace and tranquility that is worlds away.  

The whimsical outdoor garden chapel is situated on a private 14 acre lake, surrounded by towering trees draped in Spanish moss. The house on this property was built originally in 1963, and renovated in 2000 to restore its rustic charm. Because of the venue’s intimate size and privacy, this is a favorite choice for elopements - and The Secret Garden even offers a special elopement package, complete with minister and professional photographer!  


The Acre Orlando

The Acre is a rustic, one-acre urban sanctuary and gathering space located in Orlando’s historic College Park neighborhood, an unsuspecting venue with rustic charm and wild landscape perfect for an unforgettable wedding. Various wedding packages will give you full or partial access to the property, letting you create the ideal space for your party size. 

An ideal choice for this time of year is The Garden Party package, which is perfect for smaller, more intimate wedding parties of 20 or less. This package not only gives you access to the Acre’s beautiful gardens, but also includes a wedding cake, ceremony chairs, and an officiant. If you are planning a larger wedding, then go the Tying the Knot route, which includes use of the entire property, chairs, tables, linens, staff setup, use of the bridal suite and groom lounge, a staging kitchen for your caterer, and more for up to 250 guests.  


The Garden Villa

Winter Park is known for its graceful elegance and historic significance, as well as its enduring natural beauty - and The Garden Villa makes the most of all of these elements. The venue’s expansive grassy lawn is shaded by towering trees, with pops of color thanks to tropical blooms. The patio, surrounded by landscaped buses and flowering trees, offers a charming arbor and has plenty of space for a cocktail hour or reception.  

The villa itself provides private rooms for the bridal party to prepare, and banquet hall with French doors leading out to the lush, wooded gardens. One of the greatest features of this venue is the professional planning staff, who are experts at helping couples create the perfect day. 


Estate on the Halifax

Spreading across 10 acres of private estate, the Estate on the Halifax is a magnificent and elegant wedding venue with multiple ceremony and reception site locations, each featuring a different aspect of Florida beauty - be it historic Southern architecture or exotic tropical plants and foliage.   

If you’re feeling extra extravagant, they welcome you to reserve the entire estate! This includes The Tavern, The Chapel, The Gardens and Gazebo, Snow White’s Cottage, The Club Car and a honeymoon night at Agatha’s Guesthouse with check out the next day. For more intimate ceremonies, select one of the estate locations. Dine and dance the night away in The Tavern, built in the 1920s, renovated to preserve its beautiful all-wood interior. The Chapel is a quintessential historic church built in 1897, with gorgeous stained-glass windows. During this time of year, we particularly recommend Snow White’s Cottage and Gardens, which looks like something straight out of a fairytale: the quaint Alpine-style cottage sits amidst the colorful gardens, between which winds paved pathways and delightful koi ponds. The Garden Gazebo is also a great springtime choice, surrounded by fragrant blooms and sparkling fountains.  



Ellie’s Garden

Add an extra element of tranquility to your special day in Ellie’s Garden, which has been thoughtfully designed to be a peaceful, serene, accommodating, and inspiring. A complete vision of natural beauty, Ellie’s Garden is known for curating beautiful spaces with their landscape design, and their expertise applies to your wedding day.  Located in the heart of Jacksonville, in Historic San Jose, Ellie’s Garden and Warehouse is a completely unique space, where the strength of industry meets the gracefulness of nature - the perfect yin and yang.   

There are a variety of layouts to choose from when setting up your event, with 16,000 sq. ft. of exterior grounds and a 4,300 sq. ft. warehouse to use as an indoor space. The industrial warehouse, built in 1945, features exposed wood and a barrel vault ceiling and metal tresses, with softly whitewashed walls and fixed chandeliers. The garden’s antique metal gates allow you to make a dramatic entrance to your ceremony, and there are different ways to set up the seating to be under the trees, on the grass, or even on hardscape. Wherever you turn, there are colorful native plants and flowers to add bright colors and shade.  


The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens

Be surrounded by blooms everywhere you turn at the breathtaking Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, situated on a stunning 20 acres near the shore of the St. Lucie River. To help you choose the location in the gardens that will best suit your day, the garden’s Social Assistants are eager to help you!  

The Pavilion building has 4,100 sq. ft. of space with two glass walled sides open to the beauty of the gardens, as well as a dance floor to keep the party going all night. When you choose a site within the gardens, you will be taking advantage of the natural decor offered by the bright botanical flowers and plants. Guests will surely love walking the grounds and enjoying the flowers for themselves.  

Secret Gardens Miami

Add a touch of the exotic when you host your wedding at the Secret Gardens Miami, which is located in the Redlands agricultural area. Its completely unique setting combines lush tropical foliage, vibrant blossoms, grassy lawns, crystal clear lagoons and waterfalls, and stone architecture and rock formations. There is certainly no other garden location like this one.  

In addition to its many natural settings ideal for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, there are separate bride and dressing accommodations on different areas of the property to avoid that age-old superstition of the groom seeing his bride before the wedding! An indoor venue option is the Secret Gardens’ unique clear tent, which creates great decor opportunities and looks so luxe at night with lights reflected in the tent material. Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden

Where better to find tropical blooms than the beautiful island of Key West, and its magnificent Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden? This garden specifically focuses on growing and maintaining native plants and species in a natural conservation habitat, and will give your wedding a quintessential Florida quality.  

The Courtyard features a stage and courtyard, as well as garden views. The Lakeside Terrace is located beside tranquil waters and includes a stage area and bar service options available. The Butterfly Garden is a magical outdoor paradise. The Nature Chapel and Pavilion integrates the beauty of the outdoors with a quaint chapel setting.
